How long do the cooling pads last?

In general case (normal operating time not more than 10 hours, cleaning at least once a week, etc.), they can last for 5 years.

 

How do I do the maintenance?

It is recommended to drain the water and clean the filters at least once a week. For purchased unit, it is better to join our cleaning service every year.

 

How does the Evaporative Air Cooler help to lower the temperature?

It depends on ambient conditions. Generally it can have 4 - 10°C temperature drop in a hot and dry weather.

 

Will our cooling pad have molds or bacteria growth?

Our cooling pad use Sweden patented fiber type 5090 with special chemical treatment that structured to last up to 5 years and able to against bacteria, molds and fungus growth. However, we cannot select or control air borne matters that got sucked into the air filter or our cooling pad. Therefore, regularly cleaning as often as any ventilation or air conditioner system is desired.

 

Has anyone ever caught Legionnaire's Disease from the Evaporative Air Cooler?

There have never been any cases of Legionnaire's disease related to a wetted media evaporative cooler. It is believed there are over 30 million installations world wide. Good evaporative cooler such as ours have set automatic water change. If city chlorinated water is used, Legionnaires’ disease bacteria will not be built up.

 

Will you catch Legionnaires’ disease from an Evaporative Air Cooler?

No, the Legionnaires’ disease bacteria need still water to grow, accumulate and thrive in warm environments (25 to 45 °C) (77 to 113 °F) with an optimum around 35 °C (95 °F). Evaporative Air Cooler has circulating water less than 20° C and no Legionnaires’ disease bacteria can be formed.
